The location was simply the most perfect setting for this.

Set in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, Hinwick Hall is a dream Grade II listed venue, steeped in aesthetically pleasing history, natural foliage and the most charming grounds and lakeside views.

The concept (devised by Hayley Jane Weddings x Samantha Alice Photography): a modern luxe feel with romantic touches centred around a forest green, gold and white colour palette. We fell in love with this concept and it was truly fitting for Hinwick Hall and the original aesthetics that it has to offer.

The mood-board

As the chosen stylists for this shoot, our task was to maximise the look and feel of individual elements including, the stunning flowers (Pink Florist Kirsty), intricately designed stationery (Tickerty Boo) and wonderful signage (Bluebell Lettering); whilst remaining in-sync with the concept and historic location.

The Table Styling

The vision was a luxuriously grand look and feel with beautiful contemporary details; incorporating the chosen colour palette for complete consistency (which we believe is key for the perfect tablescape).

We began creating plenty of layers with different textures to provide the table with depth and detail, bringing it to life in luxurious glory! Drawing inspiration from the colour palette, we chose a soft sage green runner which looked incredibly elegant against the white base (we chose a softer green here to avoid taking the attention away from finer details).

? Using plenty of layers is one of the best ways to create a beautiful tables cape.

Sitting pretty on top of those elegantly layered materials lay flickering candlelight, beaming against the gold elements on the table including the elevated floral centrepieces, candle holders, wine glasses and intricate flower holders; this really helped to create a beautiful hint of romance.

? Elevated flower centrepieces are the most wonderful idea for beaming wow factor and saving table space at the same time!

Our styling didn’t stop at the end of the table, it continued to flow onto the floor, where we envisioned the opportunity to elegantly display even more romantic candlelight, flowers and the gorgeous materials.

Feature styling

Hinwick Hall provided us with so many original features that with the help of our styling, were beautifully accentuated as they should be!

Here, we used a variation of heights to decorate the original fireplace with elegance and romance. The display was exquisitely in-keeping with the table styling, proving that clever continuation is so aesthetically pleasing! We carefully placed the variety of candlelight so that there was the perfect amount of reflection off the dark, mysterious flooring which helped to provide a more warming look and feel, surrounded by florals displayed in a variety of different ways!

? Candlelight played a really important role in the styling of this shoot, however, in order to ensure that it didn’t overpower other elements, we carefully chose a variation of candle styles and decoration.

The place settings

A luxurious charger plate was the basis of our place settings that featured the most graceful name cards and sheer material to cleverly bring the elements together. Almost too good to eat on! It’s surprising how important each individual place setting is to achieving the overall look and feel of the table where the newly married couple and their guests will make memories together.
